Brian’s Blog: 2015 for Porter Pickups and a Thank You

2014 was a whirlwind for us! We moved into a new shop just about one year ago and we haven’t had much time to stop. We added more help this year, got a laser cutter for the shop, and this last fall we began working more on our process for winding, workflow and more.

2014 was also big move for us in terms of the process. Everything from suppliers to making more and more parts for the pickups in house. With the added laser cutting abilities, we were able to cut flatwork as needed as well as open up custom designs. More about these in a later post!

For 2015, we’re looking into working more on our process and providing some great sounding pickups for your tonal needs. We have a team of 5 working on Porter pickups throughout the week and we have some new and exciting things planned for 2015. (Some of which we can’t share yet!)

My goal is to continue to blog frequently this year, letting you know more about us, why and how we do things at Porter Pickups and to share a little bit of the journey we are having with the business.

I want to let all those know who have supported us and encouraged us, that we are very grateful for your support.

To our dealers: Thank you for believing in the brand, and representing it well.

To our guitar builders: Thank you for your loyalty and friendship. We enjoy working with you to create amazing projects.

To all our customers: You mean so much to us. thanks for spreading the word about our business, telling friends and more about what we do.

To my friends in the gear industry: We know the daily grind it takes to run a business. Thanks for your encouragement and dedication to your own business’s. It is inspiring.
